Initial AppointmentThe first meeting or initial appointment is important for several reasons.• The initial appointment is an opportunity for therapist and client to become acquainted and to discuss the possibility of working together. • It will be my responsibility to engage you in a meaningful dialogue about your present circumstances. • I will also provide you with the necessary and relevant information regarding counselling so that you can make an informed choice. • You will have the opportunity to enquire further about my way of working, and to disclose any information about yourself which you deem relevant. • You will also be assured of confidentiality, and I will explain the ground rules of our therapeutic collaboration. • It is customary for me to end the first meeting with a preliminary summing up of what has been discussed, and also, a preliminary recommendation. • You are not obliged to make up your mind immediately whether you wish to work with me. • You are not under obligation to attend further counselling just because you attended an initial session. To arrange an initial session, please contact me by phone or email: Email: george.berguno@googlemail.com Phone: 07530-737930 All enquiries will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
